Since launching Hentrup Financial Group in 2015, Wayne Hentrup has helped individuals and families across Jasper, Evansville, and Fishers create retirement plans designed to support a “work-optional” lifestyle. Prior to starting HFG, Wayne was a Senior Vice President at a wealth management firm based out of Evansville. As a result, he brings extensive experience in guiding clients through the retirement income planning process, navigating market volatility, building tax-efficient financial plans, making wise Social Security election decisions, and the transition into Medicare or private health coverage.
Wayne founded Hentrup Financial Group to dedicate more time to what matters most—his clients. He believes that retirement should be enjoyed, not worried over, and takes pride in building personalized, tax-efficient strategies that help his clients retire on their terms. His planning process incorporates a mix between a variety of planning software tools, whiteboards, and simple conversation to better align client goals with their expected outcomes, all delivered in plain language his clients understand.
A native of Jasper, Wayne studied Economics at Wabash College. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Wabash Men. He and his wife, Sandy, live in Evansville and are active members of Good Shepherd Catholic Church. When he's not in the office or with clients, Wayne enjoys golf and escaping to the beach during Indiana’s colder months.
