What is A WARN Notice?

What is a WARN Notice?

When a company of more than 100 employees plans a factory/plant closure or a mass layoff, the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act of 1988 requires them to provide workers 60 days notice. This is done to protect workers, their families, and local communities from the outsized economic impact these types of closures or restructures can cause.

How Can Hentrup Financial Group Help?

WARN Notices can greatly impact individuals and families in the community we serve. As with any layoff, termination, forced retirement, or any unwelcome unemployment, financial advisors may help. Our practice helps people through these scenarios every day as they face hardships, move assets, and work towards financial and retirement goals. WARN Notice recipients are no exception. We have a guide to help answer initial questions and are happy to meet 1:1 to discuss your particular situation at any point.
